The Tokai Lions Club has been serving the needs of its communities for over 42 years, it was chartered in 1977.
We are currently a group of 28 passionate Lions who believe kindness matters, and are always looking for ways to make a difference to people’s lives.
We support the five Lions Clubs International service areas of vision, hunger, environment, childhood cancer and diabetes, plus a few of our own speciality projects which we have been running in the communities with great success such as The Naked Baby Project and Girls Supporting Girls.
Lions Clubs International is the largest service organisation in the world. There are more than 1.45 million Lions worldwide in over 200 countries and in over 46,000 clubs doing volunteer work in their communities helping, leading and supporting the most needy.
The Lions International Mission Statement is:
“To empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions Clubs.”
Our website tells you a little bit more about some of our projects and how we serve in our communities. This is however not exclusive, and there are many activities we are involved in which are not included here.
