Each year Tokai Lions holds an awareness and fundraising event called Walk in Heels. The men and women of our club, and guests, meet to walk in heels to raise awareness to the serious subject of gender based violence. Each walker is sponsored, and the funds raised go towards our future gender based violence projects, and to Lions Clubs International Foundation, which deals with global disaster relief. For this year’s walk, in March 2024, the men of Tokai Lions who did the walk at Surfer’s Corner, Muizenberg, raised a whopping R35,408.
