Each year April has been designated the Lions Awareness Month for Lions Multidistrict 410. Tokai Lions carries out extra projects in this month to create awareness for Lions Clubs International, and the work we all do in our communities.
This year for 2022 we packed 45 Lions bags for new mothers in need, containing, nappies, babygrows, vests, a toy, a blanket, plus additional clothing to help new baby get the best possible start. We also packed 80 children’s care bags, 54 of which were personally handed out to the children in care at Marsh Memorial Children’s Home, and 26 for Reach for a Dream, a wonderful organisation who make dreams come true for children with life threatening illnesses. The children’s packs contained stationery, toys, chocolates, juice, plus lots of extra little treats.
